Department of Biochemistry was started in 1988 under the able guidance of Dr. Anantha Padma Rao. .
The Department apart from teaching the students of various courses, is well versed in usage of modern techniques like Chromatography, Electrophoresis and Spectrophotometer. A separate department in the OPD block of SSMC Hospital is run to help the consultants in providing quick and best care to the patients.
