The department has well equipped laboratories and is blessed with highly qualified, experienced &amp; dedicated faculty. It has facilities for materials research and automotive research related to combustion, emissions and performance. It has successfully executed several industrial consultancy projects funded by organizations like Department of Scientific &amp; Industrial Research(DSIR), Department of Science and Technology(DST), Karnataka Pollution Control Board to name a few. Striving for academic excellence by imparting quality technical education we also mould other essential human traits like discipline, moral values, leadership qualities in our graduate students enabling them to become competent engineers by the end of their course. The department also offers two post graduate programs M.Tech(&#8220;Thermal Power Engineering&#8221; and &#8220;Product Design &amp; Manufacturing&#8221;).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-md-3 science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.<\/li>\n<li>Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.<\/li>\n<li>Design\/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.<\/li>\n<li>Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.<\/li>\n<li>The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by Equipped with cutting-edge additive manufacturing technologies, including polymer, metal, and composite-based printing systems, the lab supports diverse applications in aerospace, automotive, biomedical, and industrial design. Researchers and students collaborate on developing novel materials, optimizing printing processes, and exploring next-generation manufacturing techniques.
